Panel Portraits with Desiree Vaniecia
Desiree Vaniecia is an artist and educator based in the DFW. She spent the evening teaching participants how to create portraits in her contemporary style. Vaniecia walked participants through the differences between the Museum’s portraits and her style, then how to paint portraits of their choosing on panel.
Wax Sculptures with Thomas Flynn II
Thomas Flynn II is a practicing artist in the DFW. He uses wax as a medium to create sculptures that hold personal objects. For his workshop, he walked participants through the process of casting wax sculptures with objects inside of them. Participants created a wax sculpture of their own.
Leather Tooling with Clint Wilkinson
Leather working and tooling has been part of Clint Wilkinson's family for generations. He provided a three hour beginner leather tooling class, on how to tool roses into a piece of leather. Wilkinson provided instruction from initial sketches through a finished product.
