I presented on “Expanding the Social Role of the Museum” in which I discussed the social role of museums in their local communities. This presentation focused particularly on the docent program I developed and implemented at The Museum of Street Culture.

This lecture focused on creating educational and interpretive programs in a non-traditional space. I spoke about the museum's structure, its programs and my thought process on their creation, and the lecture ended with the audience going on a docent-led tour.

This lecture gave a behind the scenes look at a local arts center. I spoke about building an education department from the ground up, creating and expanding programs, an organization's outreach, and what resources to seek out to make a budget stretch.
